Dot Art

Last updated: April 25, 2026

1. Introduction

Dot Art ("the App", "we", "us") is operated by Register Inc. and published under the StayBoba brand. The App turns photos you choose into halftone-style art on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle, how we use it, and your rights. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

2. Information We Handle

2.1 No Account Required

Dot Art does not require sign-up. You do not create an account; we do not collect your email address, name, phone number, or any social profile data.

2.2 Photos You Choose

When you tap "Pick a Photo," the App requests access to your device's photo library through the operating system's standard permission prompt. We only read the specific image you select. We do not enumerate, scan, or index your library.

Photos stay on your device

Selected photos are processed entirely on-device using on-device graphics rendering. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers, sent to any third-party AI service, or shared with anyone.

2.3 Local-Only Data

The App stores the following data locally on your device only (in app-private storage):

Uninstalling the App removes all of this data. We have no way to recover it.

2.4 Subscription / Purchase Information

In-App Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not store, see, or have access to your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to validate purchase receipts and manage entitlements.

RevenueCat assigns a stable anonymous identifier to your install (no email, no name, no IP-derived identity). This anonymous ID is used solely to confirm whether your install has an active Pro entitlement so we can unlock features. The identifier is unique to your install and resets if you uninstall the App.

2.5 No Analytics, No Tracking

Dot Art does not include analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, attribution SDKs, or crash-reporting SDKs at this time. We do not track your behavior, build a profile of you, or share data with advertisers. If we ever add anonymous analytics, we will update this policy and provide an opt-out before enabling it.

3. How We Use This Information

4. Third-Party Services

Dot Art relies on the following third parties:

We do not share data with social networks, ad networks, data brokers, or any other third party.

5. Children's Privacy

Dot Art is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App contains no behavioral advertising and no targeted content. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly investigate.

6. Data Deletion Request

Dot Art (published by StayBoba / Register Inc.) gives you full control to delete your data. You can request deletion of all data the App handles using the steps below.

How to request data deletion

1. Delete on-device data: uninstall Dot Art from your device. This removes all locally stored data - saved gallery projects, source-photo copies, export counters, premium-purchase cache, and app preferences. We have no way to recover this data.

2. Delete your anonymous purchase record: email [email protected] with the subject line "Dot Art - Data Deletion Request". Include the approximate date of purchase (if any) and the platform you used (iOS or Android). We will request RevenueCat to delete the anonymous identifier associated with your install within 30 days and confirm by email.

7. Data Retention

Local data is retained until you delete a project or uninstall the App. The anonymous RevenueCat purchase record is retained for the lifetime of your install plus a short period afterward (typically up to 7 years) as required for fraud prevention and tax compliance.

8. Security

Local data is stored in the App's sandboxed storage as enforced by the operating system. Your purchase status is cached using the platform's standard secure storage. Because we do not transmit photos or personal identifiers off your device, the surface area for data loss is intentionally minimal.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after a change indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
